Alignment and Authenticity: The Key to Achieving Your Goals Without Struggle
How to align your mind, body, emotions, and spirit with what you truly want
Have you ever felt as if you were beating your head against a wall? You repeatedly try to reach a goal, but you never seem to achieve it. Instead, you struggle to achieve your goals with grace and ease.
You are not alone. The struggle to move from what we don’t want to what we do want is, unfortunately, a fundamental struggle for many of us, and quite common.
To have what you want, you must be willing to take action. Your success is dependent on your ability to reach your goals.
The easiest way to move from “stuck” to action without struggle is to be authentic and aligned with your authenticity.
What is Authenticity?
Authenticity means that you are connected to your core and that your desires are a true reflection of your inner truth and soul. Alignment means that your entire being is in agreement with the goal you want to achieve, even in the most mundane of decisions.
For example, you are done with work one evening and feel extremely tired. But this evening is your night to exercise. You sit on the sofa and have to talk yourself into putting on your workout clothes and heading out the door. What you did in convincing part of yourself to get up when you really wanted to rest on the sofa is called alignment. You got yourself aligned with the idea and intention of exercising, no matter how tired a part of you felt. That’s because you had intended that moving your body is important to you, and you know that after exercising, you’ll likely sleep better at night, and thus, get better rest.
To end the struggle and successfully achieve goals, all parts of you must work together. This is how you’re able to manifest. That means all parts of you, including the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual, are aligned with your goal. There can be no doubts, limiting beliefs, or attachments.
Authenticity Check
There is a process you can use to conduct an authenticity check on your goals and align yourself with them:
Get Clear On Your Goal: Sit quietly. Create a peaceful, serene, and nurturing space for yourself. It must be a space where you feel comfortable and secure. Spend several minutes in quiet, inner reflection on your goal. Write them down so that you are clear on what you want.
Check Authenticity: Ask yourself whether this goal is the appropriate goal for you to achieve at this time. If the answer is yes, move to the next step. If the answer is no, ask what a more appropriate goal would be for you right now, and change your answers. Do an authenticity check again to make sure. If you have to, keep on asking until you feel complete. By asking this question, you shift from being ruled by logic, mind, and survival to connecting with your soul. You quiet the ego and enhance the soul, and your goals become truer and more authentic.
Inner Alignment: Create alignment with all aspects of your body. Hold your defined, authentic goal, and ask your mental body if it is willing to align with it. The purpose of this question is to uncover any blocks or limitations within the mental body regarding the goal. If the answer is yes, proceed to the next body: physical, then emotional, and finally the spiritual. If the answer is no, have a conversation with this part of you and get curious about the resistance. Ask questions like, “Why are you not willing to align with this goal?” or “What would it take for you to be in alignment with this goal?” When a part is unwilling to align with an authentic goal, the cause may be fear or insecurity. Usually, the situation is remedied by helping that body part understand that it is cared for, safe, and has nothing to fear. Simply, have a conversation with the part and inform it of the truth.
Express Gratitude: Once you receive the willingness of all the bodies, remember to thank them for supporting the manifestation of this authentic goal. Affirm your alignment with this goal and your intention to manifest it.
By completing this process, you have created an authentic goal and brought yourself fully into alignment with it. You can now move forward without struggle because you have addressed your blocks. If they come back again, dialogue with your body parts and realign yourself fully.
Let me know how it goes.
