Where I Call Home
Coming: August 14, 2026
What if home isn't a place, but a feeling within?
In this opening collection, Sonee Singh explores the longing to belong through poems inspired by travel, transition, and the search for a city by the sea. What began as an external quest for the perfect place to live evolved into something much deeper: an inward journey toward self-discovery.
Through reflections on place, identity, intuition, and inner knowing, Where I Call Home reveals that true belonging begins within.

Where I Call Home gently invites you into an embrace of comfort and security. Each poem is a thread Sonee has woven on the deep, unseen loom of Source. The shuttle of experience carries the weft of reflection through the warp of space and time, creating a blanket of belonging we can each wrap around our own search for home.
These poems offer a softening around uncertainty and the questions we carry but cannot yet answer. With each reading, I found my soul exhaling; not because everything was resolved, but because I could sense that it no longer needed to be. It was enough to witness Sonee’s journey and find, nested within it, pieces of my own.
The first in a series of nine, this anthology strongly contrasts the ‘connection’ offered by curated social media echoes with a resonant hum, as each verse extends quiet permission: to pause, to reframe, to rest in possibility and the soul-level remembering of what it actually means to belong.

Where I Call Home is a collection of poems, skillfully woven together to tell the author’s story of finding ‘her’ home. I felt Sonee’s sense of longing as I turned each page. Her descriptions are vivid and emotive. I finished the book feeling as though I had witnessed Sonee’s travels first-hand. Her writing style conveys a depth of worldly knowledge and cultural wisdom. Some of the poems are humorous and others profound, but all are easy to understand.
Even though I haven’t travelled to many of the places Sonee explores in this collection, she has a powerful way of relating her experiences through shared emotions. I loved the seamless flow of these poems, and I am excited to read the next book in the Renascence series.

So many of the poems deeply resonated with me, while others sparked a beautiful curiosity and a desire to explore more. I may not know the ins and outs of poetry, but when I read these words, I felt them. They make sense to me in a way that touches both heart and mind.
